HOLY FANG NORTH: A Sonic Cathedral in the Green Mountains

The Vision Holy Fang North is our ambitious expansion project located in Stamford, VT, nestled at the intersection of the Berkshires and the Green Mountains. Housed in a stunning 1871 Methodist church, this facility is currently undergoing a comprehensive restoration to become a Multimedia Opera House, a community arts center, and a spectacular adjunct recording space for the main Holy Fang studio.

The Acoustics The heart of the property is the church nave—a soaring, light-filled space that offers the kind of acoustic wonderment that simply cannot be replicated digitally. We are designing the space to serve as a massive live tracking room, perfect for capturing natural reverb, choirs, orchestras, or bands looking for a colossal drum sound. When it opens, it will function as a unique sonic playground for artists who need a sound larger than life.

Retreats & Residencies Beyond the recording capabilities, Holy Fang North is designed as a sanctuary for creativity. The facility will host artist retreats, writing residencies, and multimedia performances, offering a place to disconnect from the noise of the world and reconnect with the work.

Timeline We are currently deep in the renovation process, preserving the historic soul of the building while equipping it for modern production. We expect to open our doors for bookings, recording sessions, and retreats in Spring 2026.

The Area While here, artists can immerse themselves in the "Artists' Triangle" of the Northeast. We are mere moments from world-famous institutions like Mass MoCA and The Clark Art Institute. The surrounding area offers year-round inspiration, from swimming in river water holes and horseback riding in the summer to skiing in the winter.
