The Holy Fang Team
Dedicated to helping you realize your vision, whether you are bringing your own engineer or working with ours.
CO-FOUNDER, PRODUCER, HEAD ENGINEER
Oliver Ignatius
Oliver Ignatius is the founder and sonic architect of Holy Fang. His unique musical path began early - from his time as the only “gweilo” soloist in Hong Kong’s prestigious Yip’s Children’s Choir to rising to national notoriety at age 15 with his psychedelic pop band Hysterics. That lifelong, artist-first perspective has defined his ethos ever since.
After years of shaping the Brooklyn scene with Mama Coco’s Funky Kitchen, Oliver established Holy Fang to offer a higher level of immersion and sonic excellence. While he is a prolific producer and arranger known for his "Forensic Vibe" approach to audio, his primary goal as a studio owner is to maintain a facility where any artist or engineer can thrive.
Beyond the control room, Oliver creates the studio's culture alongside his partner Bernadette, co-managing the on-site Animal Sanctuary and editing the in-house magazine, Chaos. He is also a proud Youth Ambassador for the Endometriosis Foundation of America.
Whether leading a production or facilitating a lockout for a guest engineer, Oliver is dedicated to ensuring every session at Holy Fang is seamless, comfortable, and creatively free.
Bernadette Higgins
CO-FOUNDER, CREATIVE DIRECTOR & SANCTUARY VISIONARY
Bernadette Higgins is the co-founder and Creative Director of Holy Fang Studios. An artist and activist with an education in sculpture, painting, and jewelry, she is the visionary responsible for shaping the studio's distinctive aesthetic, community culture, and ethical mission.
Bernadette's passion transforms bare spaces into unique, vibrant creative environments:
She co-founded the business in 2010, driving the original community culture of Mama Coco's Funky Kitchen. She defined the studio's rich, non-sterile aesthetic—from the color schemes of the live room to the curation of the facility's artwork—creating the essential atmosphere that defines the Holy Fang sound.
Bernadette personally runs and manages the Holy Fang Animal Sanctuary, integrating this commitment into the studio's core identity:
Her dedication is fiercely hands-on, famously involving her learning acupressure for pigs to heal Fergie and personally overseeing the rescue of animals like JC the donkey. This personal mission ensures the studio maintains a reputation for true accommodating friendliness to artists and provides the serene setting residential clients rely on.
Bernadette's platform extends beyond the farm to social causes:
She is a vocal advocate for women's health as a Youth Ambassador for the Endometriosis Foundation of America and is actively involved in raising awareness about the troubled teen industry. Her commitment to feminist and ethical causes ensures the Holy Fang ethos is defined by a strong foundation of positive impact.
Brian Ducey
STAFF ENGINEER & STUDIO TECH
Brian is the technical backbone of Holy Fang Studios. An experienced multi-instrumentalist and engineer with a degree from Bennington College, he serves as the primary on-site technician and dedicated assistant for both house sessions and visiting teams.
His expertise is deeply hands-on; Brian is responsible for maintaining the studio’s vintage workflow and has repaired everything from delicate microphones to the studio’s tape machines. Whether he is running the console himself or assisting an outside engineer, Brian’s deep knowledge of the gear ensures that every session runs smoothly and technically flawless.
When he isn't soldering cables or tracking bands, Brian writes and records for his NYC-based project Grandpa's Breath, reads old novels, and continues to grow his archival-sized record collection.
Rhys Dimitriev
TECH
Rhys Dimitriev is a young and eager studio technician and tracking engineer. Since her teenage years she has been involved with the music scene in Florida, attending and throwing shows with different types of artistic vendors as well as helping manage artists/bands. Rhys also has her AS in Music Production Technology with a certificate in Audio/Recording Technology and plans on furthering her education with an interest in Audio Electronics and Music Business.
At Holy Fang, Rhys assists with sessions and helps fix studio equipment. She brings fresh and exciting ideas to the table whether it be for studio design or the house in general.
Nick Seip
JUNIOR ENGINEER
Nick brings a modern, fast-paced workflow to the Holy Fang team. As a Junior Engineer, he combines a deep background in electronic production with technical fluidity across all major DAWs, making him an invaluable asset for sessions that require speed and digital precision.
Nick first came to Holy Fang in 2018 as an artist, recording with his band Noods, and fell in love with the studio’s unique creative community. He understands the pressure of being on the artist's side of the glass, which informs his attentive and empathetic approach to assisting.
Beyond the control room, Nick is fully embedded in the sanctuary life—often found tending to the Holy Fang flock as an occasional farmhand. When not facilitating sessions or reviewing new music for Slant Magazine, he is usually crafting his own sounds or debating the production on the latest Young Thug release.
